Vento Rejuvenation

It is almost a year and a month now. I'm here talking about the new member who waits outside to take us around the places. It is the Red Volkswagen Vento I'm talking about.

The difficult conditions which prevail in India keeps the task more tougher. Adding to this the car needs to be parked under trees, the small bushes which pop out in the highway median, super efficent drivers who don't want to spare an inch gap, free sand blasting trucks and the list is endless.

Read a lot about car detailing and in December 2013 visited the place Ultimate Detailerz at Kaggadaspura to know more about the treatment. Met Mohsin for the first time and he explained the different things about the CQuartz treatment.

Finally the time have come to leave the car for the needed treatment. We agreed upon the date as Feb 13 ,2014 and spent the day how the car is getting treated. As usual pics are more worth. To be frank, my car was in real bad condition with bonnet full of scratches, swirls, bird droppings penetrated the paint ( Not an expert to inspect paint surfaces while buying the car) and some scratches by kids.

Reached the garage 30min late. Extremely sorry for making the team waiting. As soon as I reached the place Mohsin already instructed the things to be done.

First step : Cleaning the Car, every mm of the car is being taken car. Alloys were decontaminated , engine bay and wheels is also taken care.

Things Used: May be I'm wrong. Ultima Waterless wash, Iron X, Washer liquid, Micro fiber towels

Claying have been done using clay sponges to remove the surface contaminations. White clay bar is used
for the surfaces where the contamination is heavy like alloys.

I was totally surprised to see the attention they gave to every thing which is being worked upon. In the below
pic you can see during the compounding job even the wire is being put on the shoulders to avoid scratches by the wire.  For compounding Mohsin used Scholl's S17+, Scholl's S3 Gold and Menzerna Fast Gloss 500

Below picture collage shows the swirl marks and some of them are little deep. Mohsin Magic hands removed most of the marks and swirls. The bottom right side pics shows the partly compounded part which was separated using a masking tape. The job was well done. No more swirl marks. We have to accept the fact that deeper markings can't be removed fully else the paint will take a toss.

After the claying, compounding here comes the part of preparing the car for applying the CQuartz treatment.
It involves the major part of removing the oils which were part of compounding process. Used the Vim detergent to remove the oils but there is no way we can find out it have been removed. The car is washed with vim liquid and dried using water magnet towels. The below pics shows you water droplets in the surface before treatment.

Before applying the CQuartz, Mohsin used Carpro Eraser to remove the oils left. The car is then dried fully before applying the CQuartz treatment. By 6:30 PM work is done and have to leave the car for drying overnight. Nice to see the Car getting back to the mint conditioin. Four persons were working on my car religiously. Hats off to the team. Mohsin repeatedly insisted everyone to inspect the work regularly and attend to the very minute details too.

On Friday (14th Feb, 2014) Morning the car is being given the final treatment and ready to be delivered. I had a big smile on the face to see the car glowing. A job well done by Ultimate Detailerz.

After this I'd to attend another marriage near Tumkur where the car have been driven around road construction. Too much dirt added to the car and decided to clean the car as advised by Mohsin.

Removed the dirt using Jopasu Duster. Used water to clean the surface and dried the same using Water Magnet and cleaned the surface using the Ultima Waterless Wash solution with microfiber cloth.
